50th Anniversary of The Vacaville Heritage Council

The Vacaville Heritage Council is a non-profit historical archives and research organization specializing in local history, located in downtown Vacaville in the historic Old Town Hall which was built in 1907. We assist with historical research of Solano County cities, including personal histories of local individuals and families. Our collections include over 8,000 photographs dating back to the 1850’s.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Vacaville Heritage Council. On Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 11:00am – 4:00pm we will invite the public to tour the Old Town Hall and enjoy food, music and activities for children. We have a number of non-profit organizations participating, as our guests, including the Peña Adobe Historical Society, The Western Railway Museum, Travis Air Force Base Heritage Center and many others. The City of Vacaville will close the street to traffic so that booths can be positioned on either side of East Main Street in front of the Old Town Hall. While most of our confirmed exhibitors will be distributing literature about the important work they do, many will also be displaying historical items and demonstrating crafts from yesteryear.

Will you be available to join Mayor Augustine, and Supervisor Vazquez as a guest at our anniversary celebration?
