My parents moved our family to Vacaville back in 1975. We moved into a brand new home in Vacaville’s newest development, Dietz-Krane’s Fruitvale Manor. Across the street from our house were almond orchards as far as the eye could see. In choosing to live in Vacaville, my parents’ primary concerns were finding a safe place with quality schools and a strong sense of community. Those qualities are what continue to make Vacaville as wonderful a place today as it was those 40 years ago when my parents first moved here.
After graduating from Vacaville High School, I went off to college at U.C. Santa Barbara. There I majored in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting. During my senior year of college I interviewed with many of what were then known as the ”Big 6” CPA firms. Ultimately I accepted an offer from Ernst & Young and prepared for life in the big city – San Francisco.
After a few years of enduring long hours and travel to multiple locations, and with my C.P.A. in hand, I decided it was time to enter the private sector. I ended up at an up and coming real estate firm called AMB Institutional Realty Advisors. Over time this firm continued to grow in size to the point where it made sense to take the company public as a REIT (real estate investment trust). It changed its name to AMB Property Corporation and was traded on the NYSE under the stock symbol AMB.
Over the course of my 17 career with AMB, I assumed various roles within the organization, with my final and longest role being that of Asset Manager. My responsibility was to oversee the company’s multi-million square foot industrial portfolio in the Pacific Northwest.
When AMB merged with its then largest competitor, Prologis, and became part of the new Prologis in June 2011, I was provided the opportunity to make a career change. Having rediscovered the wonder of Vacaville, it was important to me to find a career that kept me closer to home and allowed me to become more involved in the community. With such a strong real estate background, the idea of entering the residential real estate world seemed like a natural fit. My goal was to apply my vast experience in real estate, as well as my attention to detail and responsiveness, to the residential world to help my clients make the right decision when it comes to buying or selling a home.
Since becoming a REALTOR® in October 2011, I have had the pleasure of helping many people realize their real estate dreams. While challenging, emotional and complex, the residential real estate world is also exciting, fun and rewarding. It would be my pleasure to meet with you and demonstrate how I can help you achieve your real estate goals.
