Isaiah Johnson was born the seventh of eight children to Harold and Leisa Johnson. He moved from Vallejo to Suisun at the age of seven where he realized a love for fashion. He came up with a clothing line: DINESTY CREATIONS SATISFACTION ADDED. It started when he was in sixth grade and he knew he didn’t want to wear his brother’s hand-me-downs. He started sketching and re-sketching and before he knew it, three years had passed. He had an old brief case packed with over 1500 designs. In November of 2014, his artistic flare and sense of style has gotten him an Artist of the Month Award at a local high school.
In the future he plans to use his clothing line to give scholarships to orphaned children, impoverished families in shelters and women in need. His parents had set a wonderful example before him. Both his father and mother set up programs that helped the homeless and women at Old Path Miracle Cathedral C.O.G.I.C. (Church Of God in Christ), in the Vallejo community. Church has played a huge part of his life.
By keeping him involved in church activities, his parents have watched their son go on to speak at Christian events and win numerous citizenship awards. He wants to be a brother and helping hand to these families and impoverished people in the community. He thanks God and his family everyday for the opportunities to share his vision with the world.
“Clothes aren’t just pieces of fabric sewn together they are ways to communicate with others and I hope that what I create is a statement of confidence and an expression of joy to all who step into what I’ve designed”. -Isaiah Johnson
