Our economy will be strengthened with more business-to-business activity. This is a core mission of our local Chambers of Commerce, and the College is proud to be a partner by hosting this event. Also, it’s important to invite the business community to the College to tour the campus and see where their workforce is educated and trained.”
Louise A. Walker, President & CEO of First Northern Bank stated, “As an area resident, Solano Community College alumni, and community banker, helping the SCC Education Foundation raise the awareness of the College with local businesses is a natural fit. Besides providing the educational groundwork for transferring to a four-year college for a bachelor degree, SCC has a vast selection of gainful employment certificate programs for residents who are not looking to earn a degree. Building a strong workforce in Solano County is good for our communities and good for our businesses.”
