Comedian Sandra Risser to Appear at “3rd Annual Big Solano BrewHaha” June 25th
Bay Area comedian Sandra Risser will be putting the “haha” in the June 25th Big Solano Brew-Haha charity beerfest benefiting Child Haven. Risser is smart, funny and older than Twinkies! She’s eccentric not crazy, drives in the fast lane and claims she can still bench press 500 grams. She believes in the tooth fairy, Santa Clause and clean underwear.

Her Motto: “If you miss your ex, reload and fire again!”

Sandra is a quick witted, vibrant comic and a dynamic speaker. Audiences are riveted as they know she’s speaking from experience and a true belief in her subject. Her overall message is life should be lived to the fullest. She debunks the saying “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks”, which emphasizes her message that it’s never too late to take the steps necessary to move your life in the direction you want it to go. Her underlying message is we are not immortal so make the most of the time you’ve got.
Her impressive comedy credits include one woman shows at the Edinburgh, Scotland; Brighton, England; Santa Cruz, CA and Rogue, Fresno CA Fringe Festivals. She was 1 of 40 comedians from around the United States selected to per for at Comedy Day in San Francisco. Sandra was a finalist in The World Series of Comedy Main Event in Las Vegas NV and is the winner of Funny Fest, Killer Laughs, Go Baby Productions Winner Take All and Battle of the Sexes Comedy Competitions.
Sandra has entertained audiences with laugh filled performances at nationally renowned comedy clubs like the LA Comedy Club in the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas, Comedy Store-Hollywood, San Francisco Punchline & Cobbs-San Francisco, Ice House-Pasadena, Jokers Comedy Club-Richland and San Jose Improv. She’s featured and opened for nationally known comics such as Will Durst, Paul Ogata, Larry “Bubbles” Brown Mickey Joseph, Dean Oleson, Kevin Avery, Karen Rontowski, Paula Bell, Huck Flyn, Andrew Norelli, Honest John, Dan St Paul, Butch Bradley.
An accomplished actor and speaker, she was featured in the dark comedy “Help Wanted”, earned 3 “Artie” nominations for best supporting actress and won her division’s “Toastmaster’s International Speech Contest“.
In both comedy and speaking, Sandra builds a unique bond with the audience as she shares stories about her own journey from youth to young adult to middle aged and beyond. She continues to live her life to the fullest. Whether she’s using self-deprecating humor doing stand-up comedy or being more serious when giving motivational seminars, she is an inspiration to her audiences. When people leave, they know they’ve seen a unique talent and that “age is just a state of mind”.
