Help to eliminate food deserts in Solano County
A significant number of our neighbors live without ready access to fresh, healthy affordable food, putting them at risk for chronic health problems, including diabetes and obesity. Many individuals across the country are engaged in efforts to address this important issue. We are joining forces with them-and you can be part of it!

The USDA defines food deserts as parts of the country without easy access to fresh fruit, vegetables, and other healthful whole foods, usually found in impoverished areas. This is largely due to lack of grocery stores, farmers’ markets, and healthy food providers.
