“Fresh Coat” Urban Art Installation Fundraiser to Benefit Aldea Children & Family Services
Aldea Children & Family Services and Jamieson Ranch Vineyards (JRV) will come together on Saturday, August 13th for the annual unveiling of “Fresh Coat”, an urban art installation event that celebrates the unique self-expression of graffiti art, music, and community. Six prominent artists from around the world, along with youth from Aldea’s Art Therapy Program, will create larger-than- life murals that wrap numerous one-story building walls using brushes and spray paint. These vibrant urban art displays will be exhibited for one year until the following unveiling.
Tickets for this event include a complimentary glass of wine and special pricing on wines by the glass, access to exclusive silent auction, restaurant and experience lots, hors d’oeuvres and special one-of-a kind art pieces made by Fresh Coat artists. All proceeds from this event benefit Aldea Children & Family Services.
Attendees will also enjoy music from Sanho “The Indian” and DJ Ellie Electro and will have a chance to take photos with “Light Horse” miniature therapy horses. These small rescue horses of The Miniature Therapy Horse Program at JRV have had a significant impact on local schools, hospitals, and children with special needs.
Fresh Coat will offer an opportunity to participate in various art activities such as painting a scaled-down version of the mural to be created by Aldea Art Therapy Program youth. Leading the Art Activity Station will be Aldea Behavioral Health Counselor, Jose Martinez, who holds a background in Art History and Studio Painting. “It is inspiring to see how art has transformed many struggling Aldea client youth into more confident, whole individuals,” states Martinez. This is a family-friendly event and children are invited to participate in the art activity.
