Want to learn more about positive change?
Sustainable Solano’s upcoming event may be for you.
The “Awakening the Dreamer Symposium”is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Solano County Events Center, 601 Texas St., Fairfield.
Organizers said this is a first conversation of its kind in Solano County, the purpose of which is to help people tap into their highest potential for creating a thriving, just and sustainable world.
The symposium is designed to engage participants in a dynamic, half-day multimedia workshop that will explore three core aspects of our societal condition via facilitated interaction and engaging audio-visual elements. Attendees will engage as co-creators of an environmentally sustainable, socially just and spiritually fulfilling world in our own communities.
“We are launching this new county-wide effort to empower all members of our community to take a stand for positive change and together create a better world that works for all of us by taking actions for the good of the whole,” said Elena Karoulina, executive director of Sustainable Solano, in a press statement.
After grounding awareness in facts regarding the consequences of humanity’s current relationship with Earth and each other, participants will examine how humanity arrived at this point. Through a process of guided self-inquiry, individuals discover the unique stand they wish to take for a more just, sustainable, and fulfilling world.
Participants have the opportunity to share their concerns about the state of the world with like-minded community members and support each other in taking steps to affect the changes they wish to see.
Sustainable Solano invites everyone to join the Awakening the Dreamer Symposium and wake up from the “dream that guides the modern world,” establish new connections and join those committed realizing a human presence on this planet that exists in equilibrium, rather than imbalance, with Mother Earth.
Participants will leave the symposium feeling optimistic, inspired and empowered to take clear steps to embody their vision for a better world and create a new dream for humanity.
