Nolan Sullivan
My name is Nolan Sullivan, I was born in the bay area of California and for the most part grew up in Vacaville. I attended Vacaville Schools and graduated in 2000 a Bulldog from Vacaville High School, I am a bit of a momma’s boy and wanted to move far enough away that my parents couldn’t stop in but close enough I could come down for the weekend if I wanted to see them. I went to Chico State for my undergrad and majored in Recreation Administration and Human Resources. I eventually enrolled in the University of San Francisco and got my Masters in Public Administration. I moved back down to the bay area to work for a few years. One night back at a party in Vacaville I met my future wife; Japhia Bera, whose grandfather happens to own the oldest business in town; Barber Joe’s! Japhia and I got married and had some babies. I now have two sons; Brydon (Bub) 6 and August (Gus) 3 and three spastic wiener dogs.
Since moving home and establishing my family I have developed a strong almost neurotic passion to support our youth. I feel that the kids of Vacaville truly are our future and anything can do to make their future a bit brighter is a deed worth doing. I spent several year’s on the Vacaville Public Education Foundation, the last three as the President. Several year’s on the City’s Community Services Commission overseeing our wonderful park and recreation system and am currently on the Vacaville Unified School District Board of Trustees. Vacaville is an exceptional community to raise a family in and I take my role as a leader in areas surrounding children very seriously! I hope my kids like me will move away, experience life and eventually realize there is “no place like home” and back to cow town!
