Curt Johnston, Executive Director
Solano Community College Educational Foundation
Mr. Johnston is the Executive Director of the Solano Community College Educational Foundation. The Foundation was established in 1985 to raise funds to support students and educational excellence at Solano Community College, and to develop an active Alumni Association for the College. Curt is also active in the community as a Board member of the Vacaville Rotary Club and Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and as an Ambassador for the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce.
Prior to joining the Foundation in August 2012, Mr. Johnston enjoyed a thirty year career in California municipal planning, redevelopment, economic development and public real estate. His career included 22 years at the City of Fairfield. He is a past member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional.
Curt grew up in Vacaville and attended Solano Community College. He transferred to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where he received his Bachelor of Science in City and Regional Planning. In his private life, Curt has been an active volunteer in Solano County for the past 20 years. He has been married to his wife Debbie since 1979 and they have four sons.
