Meghan Murphy, RD is a Health Coach part time and works full time for Solano County. Meghan is dedicated to making Vacaville a healthier, happier community. Originally from Vermont, Meghan studied nutrition in Pennsylvania and North Carolina relocating to Vacaville for her job with Solano County in the fall of 2007 and fell in love with Vacaville.
Past President of the Diablo Valley Dietetic Association, she has volunteered with Big Brother Big Sister, completing her match once her little sister graduated in 2012 but remains friends. She became a team captain for the Alzheimer’s Walk in Suisun in September 2014, raising over $1,400 with her team for research in memory of her grandmother who passed away June 2014. After a challenging couple years personally and professionally, Meghan stumbled on health coaching June 2014 and discovered a more positive outlook and direction as well as trying to have a positive impact on the community she has grown to love.
Happy, healthy life is her new motto and hashtag, and she has started spreading it with those she knows and is ecstatic to start her first weight loss challenge in February 2015 and eventually own her own Nutrition Club, a place where the community can come together and receive nutrition and fitness help and classes.
She believes in the importance of having a positive attitude/outlook, helping individuals with their nutrition and health to lead happier and healthier lives. When Meghan is not working full time, health coaching part time she can be found sharing her time with friends, in training to improve herself, or on her Harley!
