Solano Community College Educational Foundation

Solano Community College Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 1985, but had a quiet existence until about two years ago.
We are now in the process of building a countywide organization with a mission to raise funds to support SCC students and educational excellent at the College.
The steps we’ve taken include expanding the Board membership, preparing a web site and marketing materials, establishing a public outreach program with special events, and new fundraising efforts.
The primary special events include the Solano Business Connections and Expo – a ten Chamber mixer, and the SCC 70th Anniversary Gala, new for 2015.
The Solano Promise is a new fundraising campaign to raise support for remedial education or bridge programs at SCC.
Bridge programs provide academic and social support for students lacking sufficient academic preparation for college.
In addition, the Solano Promise will raise money for scholarships for students from low-income households.
