Now more than ever, community partners play a critical role in shaping the lives of America’s young people and the Vacaville Neighborhood Boys & Girls Club is uniquely positioned to make a significant difference. We have access to the youth who need us most, and a program that will help youth develop positive outcomes and achieve great futures.
In an effort to ensure that members achieve great futures, VNBGC has chosen to implement programs in five core areas:character and leadership, academic and career, health and nutrition, recreation and the arts. Without the support of community partners, our Club would have a difficult time achieving our mission.
The community is invited to the Buckaroo Bowl-a-Thon scheduled for March 21, 2015 with registration beginning at 11:30am. Our western theme fundraiser is sure to bring all the cowboys and outlaws to a showdown for 2 hours of the most exciting hoe down bowl ever! Teams compete for trophies in the following categories: highest score, lowest score, most strikes, most spirited, best dressed, most gutter balls, and most money raised. Corporate sponsors and organizations bowl for trophy cups in the following categories: Safety cup, City cup, Service cup, Talkin Trash cup, Financial cup and the Bio cup!
Each team consists of five bandit bowlers and the entry fee is $500. Teams are encouraged to collect their entry fees through pledges and new this year, the bowler that collects the most money in pledges wins a day for four in Disneyland! Raffle tickets and 50/50 drawing add to the fun! Want to sabotage another team? Keystone Club Cops will be on hand to issue arrest warrants and haul of bowling bandits to jail. Team captains, please contact Anna for your bowl packet or more information at aeaton@vnbgc.com or calling 707-452-0480.
