Michalle Shown-Rodriguez and her journey

Michalle Shown-Rodriguez will share her  personal journey and 30 year professional career serving some of our nation’s most vulnerable children at the Little Wing Connections Contribution on October 1, 2015.
From being the parent of a medically fragile son, starting a nonprofit for parents of terminally ill children; to running a National Foster Parent Advocacy program. Michalle has given testimony before Congress as a Child Welfare Reform Advocate. Michalle provided on-the-ground services to families displaced by Hurricane Katrina, directed support services for Nevada’s 5500+ abused and neglected children in foster care, and adopted Nevada’s first legally abandoned “Safe Haven” baby.
