Adopt a Family Christmas Program Needs Assistance
The Salvation Army Looking for People to Adopt Families for Holidays

The Salvation Army (586 E. Wigeon Way) is looking for people, Adopt a Family Christmas Program Needs Assistance 2groups or businesses to participate in their Adopt a Family Christmas Program. Participants are assigned a family in need and purchase holiday meal items and gifts.
“During this time of year it is difficult for many families that are already struggling on a daily basis and then add the holidays to the mix. We pray that together as a community we can help these families.” said Captain Vickie Harvey, Solano County Coordinator who runs the program.
Once all items are gathered, participants are asked to place items together and label them with the family case number and individual names that is on the top of the case profile on all boxes or bags. Participants are reminded to leave gifts unwrapped.
“It is very easy to help just contact me and I will match a family to you and you get to shop and lessen the burden for a local family. This will make this Christmas a joyful time for a family.” said Harvey.
All Adopt a Family Christmas Program projects are due back on Friday, December 18, 2015.
