Beginning his professional music career in 1985, Jeff Harris established himself as one of the top DJ’s in Northern California, working professionally as a mobile and club DJ for various companies, and numerous venues in the San Francisco Bay Area. While attending City College Of San Francisco (graduating with an AS degree in Broadcast Media & Electronic Arts), Jeff became the Music Director of influential college station KCSF. From college radio, Jeff crossed over into the record business in 1991 working for major label Polygram Group Distribution, followed by marketing & promotion stints for Allegro Corporation and Innovative Distribution Network over the next thirteen years. In October of 2011, Mr. Harris established the daily music history blog “Behind The Grooves” on the Tumblr website. The blog covers various genres of popular music, including events and detailed information about historically significant albums and singles by scores of popular and iconic musicians. Since its inception, “Behind The Grooves” has continued to grow steadily, developing a loyal and dedicated following.
